Caroling 2018

Lorna Boggs, through a Thrivent Action Team, organized a special day of caroling for the Weekday School and church.  Below find some pictures and commentary.

The Weekday School group gathered before making the craft project (many not pictured) 

The above two pictures show the kids making Christmas Stars from clothespins.

After making the Stars they colored pictures to give away with the stars to those we visited in caroling.  Before leaving for caroling we had a pizza feast!

Carolers at our first stop the Neligh Care and Rehab Center, then we went to Antelope Memorial Hospital and then Pioneer homes.  Following caroling we returned to the church for hot chocolate and cookies.  We had 30 youth and 10 adult carolers!

Thrivent Action Team

Lorna Boggs organized a Thrivent action team for Christmas Caroling.  Pictures and story are below.

The team (Weekday School and Confirmation Students) began by making a craft to hand out during caroling.

Then we enjoyed Pizza and Pop.

Then we played some games.

Finally we went singing at the Willows, Nursing Home, and Pioneer Homes.  At Pioneer Homes we gave out gifts from a Thrivent Action Team organized by Doris to members of our church who reside there.

Grace Lutheran Children's Christmas Program

Here are some pictures of the Grace Lutheran Children's Christmas Program, Sunday, December 20.

Making Ornaments and Christmas Caroling

This year for Christmas Caroling Lorna Boggs came up with a fantastic twist.  The Weekday School and Confirmation Class first made Christmas ornaments that illustrate the true meaning of Christmas -- Christ in a manger.  Then we enjoyed Pizza and Pop before delivering the ornaments to the residents of Golden Living Center in Neligh and Antelope Memorial Hospital.  While delivering we sang Christmas Carols to those gathered there.  Below are some pictures of the fun, fellowship and food.  This was a Thrivent Action Team project applied for and led by Lorna Boggs.
